Norfolk school official's assault charges dropped

NORFOLK Vandalism and misdemeanor assault charges against the school division's executive director of high schools were dropped Monday in General District Court. Gene T. Jones Jr. and Luevetta Bellamy swore out charges against each other after an April 25 dispute. Jones, 50, was charged with felony property destruction and misdemeanor assault. Bellamy, 39, was charged with misdemeanor assault.
